Welcome! My name is Nichelle and I’ve been collecting model horses for about 14 years. My collection mostly consists of Breyer horses in the Traditional (1:9) scale, but it’s expanded to include a few Peter Stones, Copperfoxes and Artist Resins.
What really drew me into the hobby was it’s creative/artistic side, especially in tack and prop making. I’ve always had a fascination with miniatures, so combining that with horses was perfect. Making tack is a never-ending learning process, but it’s a lot of fun too.
I am unable to keep or be around real horses at this point in life, so models, in a way, are the next best thing. (besides the occasional dusting they don’t need much, ha!) It’s also a way to stay connected to the real horse world.
Aside from horses, I’m a lover of the imagination and fantasy. I love to create, whether that’s through writing, music or art, and have a passion for the beautiful world God has blessed us with, from the wonder of the night sky to the creatures that lurk at the depths of the sea. I love to travel and someday would love to visit places like Africa, more of Europe and Asia, and even more of my home country, the USA.
